It’s World Wetlands Day!

Although the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands occurred on February 2, 1971 in Ramsar, Iran, World Wetlands Day was not celebrated until 1997. On August 30, 2021, the United Nations General Assembly officially recognized February 2 as a UN International Day.
